ABOUT GNPD
GNPower Dinginin Ltd. Co. (GNPD) is a 2×725 MW (gross) coal-fired power plant, considered the biggest coal-fired power plant in the country. Located in Mariveles, Bataan, it spans around 30 distribution utility and retail electricity contracts.
Committed to empower progress through efficient and affordable energy, Unit 1 of the project began generating power in March 2021, operated at full-load capacity on May 18, 2021, and assumed commercial operations in December 2021.
Unit 2 successfully synchronized to the grid on April 23, 2022, and officially operated at its full load capacity on May 27, 2022. In October of the same year, it also earned its Certificate of Compliance.
GNPD operates under the private limited partnership of AboitizPower’s Therma Power, Inc., Ayala Corporation’s AC Energy Holdings, Inc., and Power Partners Ltd. Co.
