GNPower Dinginin Ltd. Co. (“GNPD”) values trust and privacy in the conduct of our business while ensuring free flow of information and communication in providing reliable power and excellent customer service towards responsible nation-building. GNPD is committed to comply with the rules and regulations of the Data Privacy Act of 2012 in processing and safeguarding the personal data of all the stakeholders. This Privacy Notice provides all the necessary information on the GNPD’s privacy practices and the processing (collect, use, store, secure, disclose, retain and dispose) of personal data. It may be necessary to provide personal data in connection with any direct or indirect dealing with GNPD as Beneficiaries.

COLLECTION OF INFORMATION

“Scholars” refers to all scholarship grantees or students under GNPD Scholarship Program who passed the application and selection process.

“Program Beneficiaries” refers to the residents of Mariveles who will benefit from GNPD community programs.

“GNPD-Sponsored External Project/Program Beneficiaries” refers to the residents of Mariveles and other parts of Bataan who will participate in GNPD-sponsored external projects/programs.

“Beneficiaries” refers to all Scholars, Program Beneficiaries and GNPD-Sponsored External Project/Program Beneficiaries

All Beneficiaries may be required, in the course of doing business with GNPD, to provide personal information or sensitive personal information, each as defined in the Data Privacy Act and collectively referred to herein as “Personal Data”, manually or through electronic copy.

The personal data to be collected is limited to the following: Full name, birth date, place of birth, civil status, religion, gender, citizenship, health and medical records, contact details (home address, e-mail address, contact number and other contact details as necessary), family background (including names of parents/guardian, spouse, siblings or children, their dates of birth, occupation and place of work, contact numbers and average family monthly income as necessary), government issued identification cards and clearances, character references (including names, address and contact details as necessary), photos, videos, audio record of interview, other supporting documents (Form 138, NSO/PSA Birth Certificate, Certificate of Good Moral Character and Certificate of Indigency, result of examination conducted by the Guidance Office, seminars and training attended, awards and achievements as necessary) and other relevant information to fulfill official business.

Written attestation that the information provided in the application form for Scholars is complete and accurate is also required to prevent the commission of fraud or falsification of documents.

PURPOSE, ACCESS, RETENTION

The personal data collected by the GNPD Community Relations personnel or authorized representative of GNPD will be processed only to the extent necessary in the fulfillment of legitimate purposes and to: establish and validate identity; communicate or contact the Beneficiaries with regards to official business; confirm, maintain or update GNPD reports to stakeholders, communications and correspondence such as but not limited to website, newsletter, social media accounts or newspaper articles about the GNPD; comply with the requirements of law or regulations. This information shall only be stored for no longer than necessary to fulfill the purposes declared, except when required by applicable laws or lawful orders of authorities.

GNPD recognizes the right of the Beneficiaries to access, update, amend or delete their personal data and to provide a copy of the information collected by GNPD, upon request.

Unless otherwise requested upon or after the collection of personal data, GNPD reserves the right to use or communicate the personal data to its concerned employee/s or stakeholders manually or through electronic copy for official business transactions only.

DISCLOSURE AND PROTECTION

Only GNPD’s stakeholders, authorized employee/s, partners and service providers shall have access to the collected personal data. GNPD ensures the confidentiality and security of the personal information by strictly prohibiting transmission or any unauthorized sharing of personal data with other organizations without prior consent from the Beneficiaries. GNPD implements appropriate organizational, technical, and physical security measures toensure protection of personal data and reduce the risk of unauthorized access.
