Industry leaders swung into action at D’Heights Resort Golf and Country Club in Clark Global City as GNPower Mariveles Energy Center (GMEC) and GNPower Dinginin (GNPD) hosted a friendly golf tournament for key stakeholders last May 4, 2024.

This wasn’t just about low scores. The event brought together executives and officials from GMEC|GNPD, AboitizPower’s Thermal Business Group, and the Authority of the Freeport Area of Bataan (AFAB), who traded their boardrooms and offices for fairways, teeing off for a day of friendly competition and relationship-building. The tourney provided a platform for networking and camaraderie amidst a challenging yet scenic 18-hole course.

Nestled within the picturesque landscape of Clark Global City, the course itself posed a formidable yet thrilling challenge, with its cleverly designed layout of par-4s, strategic par-3s, and sprawling par-5s offering a fun and competitive environment for the players.

The sporting event was joined by key figures from participating organizations, including AFAB Administrator Hussein Pangandaman, AFAB Deputy Administrator for Operations Atty. Michael Angelo Paderanga, AFAB Corporate Affairs Head Atty. Percival Peralta, AFAB Consultant/Adviser to the Administrator Tom Pacasum, AboitizPower Thermal Business Group COO Celso Caballero III, AboitizPower Thermal Group COO for Operated Sites Aldo Ramos, AboitizPower VP for External Relations Ramon Marcos Pernia, AboitizPower VP for External Affairs Wilfredo Rodolfo III, AboitizPower External Relations Manager Alaine Louie Gonzales, and GMEC Materials Handling Manager Miron Cristian Feliciano.

Following the successful tournament, Celso Caballero III, Thermal Business Group COO of AboitizPower, expressed his enthusiasm for making this a regular activity.
