JULY 7, 2023 — GNPower Dinginin Ltd. Co. (GNPD) Unit 2’s Operating & Support Team achieved yet another feat as it breaks its record of 79 continuous days of operations after banking 100 days as of July 7, 2023. 

Operations Manager Alec De Witt presented the milestone during their Performance Update last July 7, 2023. Since the unit’s last synch date on March 31, 2023, the team has now reported 100 days of continuous running operations, and 85 unit days without derations and steam cooler repairs. 

Adding to their roster of positive indicators are their technical performance indicators, which surpassed their target numbers. The unit has recorded 97.38% in net capacity factor (NCF) and 100% of equivalent availability factor (EAF) as of June 2023. EAF denotes the energy ratio between the quantity available in each period and the theoretical maximum, while NCF is the unitless ratio of actual to theoretical maximum electrical energy output during a certain period.

This remarkable feat achieved by the Operating & Support Team is essential in upholding GNPD’s commitment to empowering progress by delivering efficient energy to its distributors and customers. It’s also beneficial in maintaining affordable energy since shutdowns force distributors to source more expensive and impractical sources of energy to supply to their customers.
